Men jag tänkte, trots alla drömmar, att du skulle sitta någonstans här bredvid mig.

I'm feeling very girly today, thus I'm donning frilly skirt, lace top and lavender eyeshadow. Now: off on a long walk with a darling girl and her tiny dog.

Är ni med mig, systrar, bröder; dansa för att hjärtat blöder!

So yesterday Sylvia, Jules, Ingrid and I went out to my all time favorite burlesque club, the Hootchy Kootchy Club, and the theme was Dia de Los Muertos. It was so much fun!!!

Sylvia and I always manage to get one shot like this of each-other every time we go out, ha ha.

I felt so beautiful (it is, once again, the Tim Burton kid in me).

The gang! I love this photo.

My darling Ingrid. I called her The Galliano Vision all night.

And everybody's favorite couple, Sylvia and Jules. <3

At the club there were lots of great little shows. So inspiring.

Like this striptease, where the girl danced for her "dead husband" (a skull) and ended the show by pouring his ashes all over herself. Weird, morbid and hilarious. I especially loved the way the painted skeleton hands on her tits instead of wearing pasties.

It was a great night, one of the best nights out I've had in a long time. Thanks for dancing with me, darlings!

P.S. I'm sorry for not answering all your comments, I haven't had time and I want to do it properly. I'll try to do it later today. Thanks for being so sweet. D.S.

Bang bang min baby sköt mig ned.

And here's my new hairstyle. Or really, one of my regular ones, I've just been waiting for my hair to grow long before I cut the bangs. My dream, for so long, has been long, flowy Jessica Rabbit hair. I feel like I'm getting there, just like... ten more centimeters, heehee.

P.S. Thanks so much for all your great comments yesterday, you're THE BEST. .D.S

Rapunzel kanske.

Oh my, I think I got a little carried away here... Anyways, I'm getting my hair cut and dyed again today, like I always do once every sixth week (nothing diffent though). And that got me thinking about how many different hair styles I've sported during the last two years. So here's a little collage of some of them. I really prefer myself as a red head. Do you have a favorite?

Berätta för mig om det är sant att din hud är doppad honung.

Today I'm wearing powder pink tights. They're the same color as cherry blossoms. And that's all for now, folks.

Får jag gå precis så nära att min axel stryker vid din arm? Jag vill inte verka jobbig eller så, men jag är varm. Du ser kall ut.

Phew, finally home again! I really hate going shopping on weekends, because I can't stand the over-crowded streets and stores. Anyways, this is what I wore pushing through the crowd; my new blue bird dress! Funnily enough a little blue bird is actually watching me from my balcony window as I'm writing this. Weird. I hope it's because he likes my dress.

Tjocka små pingviner och en isprinsessas käraste ägodel.

It’s funny when you realize how much a piece of clothing can mean to you. I’ve recently been thinking, fondly, of my first favorite dress ever. My mother bought it for me in Stockholm when I was about four years old. It was a cream colored jersey dress with long sleeves and a full skirt, and on its chest two fat red and white baby penguins were ice skating, making pirouettes. It was what I imagined an ice skating champion would wear, and so I called it the Ice Skating Princess Dress (with much reverence). I loved that dress so much, and mourned it when I grew out of it. And lately I’ve thought about how much that dress must have affected me; I still, to this day, love that “skater model” kind of dress more than any other silhouette. Also, I think it’s nice to remember the clothes that I liked before I learned about fashion, and became a consumer. Back then, as a child, I loved clothes based only on how they made me feel, and I would name them according to what they reminded me of. As much as I would like to still feel that way about my clothes, the magic of childhood worn off. And I still mourn my Ice Skating Princess Dress a little bit.

Now tell me; did you have a favorite piece of clothing as a child, and what did it look like, feel like?

Åhå, Apacheprinsessa, du håller liv i mitt rain man-hjärta.

Two photos from the photoshoot yesterday. My model's name is Saga, she's so amazing I think. I wanted to get this kind of vintage, folkloreistic feel and I'm really happy with these. I'll show you more from this shoot soon.

Stackars Lola.

Photography by Thomas Klementsson for Swedish Elle (2007, I think?).

I was rummaging through some of the moving boxes yesterday, and found my box of favorite editorials. I love this one, because of the light, the beautiful editing and the spot on styling (by Liselotte Watkins). So inspiring!

Jag är prinsessan Leia på isplaneten.

Oh my gosh. Okay, so I've been wanting to post these all day! My laptop finally broke down today, and now it's dead for real after being sick for a looong while. So now I have to use Kristofer's laptop to blog, which will probably mean fewer entries this coming week. Booo!

Anyways, this was a shoot I did today because I needed to test the light for an upcoming shoot this Wednesday. I was feeling the cyborg-folk-geisha-look today, heehee. I'm really happy with the lighting, anyhow.
