Pausfågel.

Hey guys, sorry for the stale mate.
Today has been one of the worst days in a long time for me, and for Kristofer. It, among other things, involves a stolen bicycle, lost money and real pissy people. I'm both angry and sad, so I'm not feeling very inclined to blog today. Consider this a one-day break, and I'll be back again tomorrow with a better temper and in a good mood!

Until then, fuck all mean people and hurray for all the good ones!

Du är inte så fin men det är något med dig. Som att komma hem.

I picked myself up off the floor this morning and got to school, with a throbbing head and hoarse throat. An that's how I know for damn sure that autumn is finally here: my annual cold is too! So I made you guys this playlist, to remind y'all (and myself, obviously) that the fall can be so wonderful and hopeful, not just the snivels. I call it Det kommer rök ur våra munnar ("There is smoke coming from our mouths"), and it's compiled of some of my old and new autumn songs. These are song that remind me of:

+ lying on wet grass and leaves on a cold October night, looking up at the stars and holding a hand, saying; "We will remember this for the rest of our lives".
+ walking drunkedly through the streets of a freezing but sunny Copenhagen, laughing our hearts out and stopping to kiss every ten meters.
+ being all alone and feeling endelessly good about it.
+ sitting in the library at the University reading Barthes and looking on as the trees burst into flames of yellow and orange.
+ painting until your wrist hurts and you forget to eat.
+ staying up stupidly late to take long (and freezing) walks just because the person walking next to you is the most amazing being.

Among other things, of course. :) Anyways, I hope you like it too.

Alla städer ska tömmas, alla gator glömmas bort.

For the second day if Popaganda, I met up with Cecilia, Moa and Maria in the afternoon to drink some beer.

Moa had her game face on.

It was nice to be just us girls and talk about girlie stuff because I, like never, do that. I felt like we were seventeen again, but better kinda.

I wore my brouges from Steve Madden. I live in them nowadays, really.

Hello!

After a couple of hours we walked down to the festival to listen to Shout Out Louds and eat some langos (yum!).

We danced and ate.

Cecilia and Maria.

And then we just danced, to Magic Numbers.

And Moa photographed me, for a change.

As the night go colder we drank more beer, and talked and danced and laughed. Then I had to go home, because I was getting too sick. Still, it was a great night and a very nice festival.

Hemma är när jag är kär i dig.

Photo from the series Home is where the heart is, from 2003. Photography by me.

Oh my, today has been the longest day ever! I woke up with the worst cold, and now we've been packing, sorting and carrying stuff all day long. I'm exhausted but also very happy, because we're finally done. We've moved out! Now, weirdly enough, Kristofer and I will be living in a hotel for the next couple of days before we can get access to our new apartment. I feel like I'm on the cast of Gossip Girl, hehe.
Now, I'm gonna tend to my cold and dream of wallpaper and paint.

Good night my sweets (and thanks for all your lovely comments, they made my day).

Saturday, August 28

Today's been such a good day so far! We've had the most amazing brunch in Vasastan, and on our way home we walked by an antiques dealer that was selling the most amazing little 50's nightstand (super cheap too). It's perfect, because it matches the one we already have. Now we've spent all afternoon packing up the last of our stuff, because tomorrow we move! But first, Popaganda! I hope I'll see some of you there!

Festivalkänsla 2.0

So yesterday was day one of the Popaganda Festival! Here I am with Moa, drinking beer.

Cecilia and Anders.

Moa and Joakim.

The night was cold, but beautiful. When Belle and Sebastian played I ran into the crowd and danced like crazy. It was so good!

It was a really great night. Now, I'm getting ready for day 2, yay!!!

Skolflicka.

I know, I've written bout this dress before, but I seriously can't stop thinking about it. It's from 3.1 Phillip Lim which was, hands down, the best RTW collection for fall I think. It's just so... perfect. Oh well, pardon the banal consumption talk. ;)

As you might remember, yesterday I was out scouting for a location for todays photoshoot. I think I found the perfect spot! My friend Stina was with me (she took the photo of me) and while walking around the small island called Beckholmen, we ecountered that big guy in the second photo. Scary!

Later today I'll be going to the inner city festival called Popaganda, to watch Belle and Sebastian and other wonderful bands. It's gonna be so awesome. But first, I'm off to shoot!

Lycka a La mode.

Today I'm putting away my summer clothes and getting out all of my fall stuff. I love this feeling, like you're reinventing yourself yet at the same time you're just changing what's on the outside to go along with what's on your inside. If you know what I mean. Like shedding a husk, sort of. Yesterday I bought this new jacket, which I've been eyeing for a while, and I really think it evokes my state of mind just now.

Now, I'm off to scout a location for an upcoming photoshoot, and then: tea with a darling friend!

Det är mitt eget fuskande hjärta som får mig att gråta.

Not Kate Moss, but Mona Johannesson of course! Excuse my sleepy brain for getting things all scrambled this morning. :) Photography by Jakob Stenqvist.

Jag älskar dig från botten av mitt pennskrin.

It all happened during a time when everything felt like it was possible. All nights were bright and heavy with stars, all days spent aimlessly wandering through the streets. The fall of 2008 was exhilarating and full of adventures, and when Kristofer came along, to me he was perfect.

I had had a crush on Kristofer for a while, a secret, giggly school girl crush. But also, an intellectual wow-he-thinks-exactly-like-I-do kind of crush. He wrote one of Sweden’s most popular blogs and I thought he was the most amazing person.
At the same time I was very shy, so instead of sending him an email, I added him on Facebook. A couple of weeks later, when we were the only people online, I took my chance and opened up the chat window and wrote a message for him. For a second I pondered how mortified I would feel if he’d ignore me, or worse; if he turned out to be nothing like I thought. Then he answered, and we started talking. We talked and talked, writing with such speed that neither of us noticed the hours passing by. We wrote about our favorite music, books and dreams and he told me that he had read my blog before and that he liked it.

The next day he had sent me an email, starting a correspondence between us that would involve three or four long letters every day for almost two weeks. When I finally worked up the courage to ask him out for an actual date, I was kind of in love with him already.

We met on one of the coldest autumn evenings of 2008, and walked over to my favorite bar. Kristofer wore a black coat and looked like something out of an Anton Corbijn photo. I thought he was so very handsome. Later that night we walked to my apartment to mix hideous rum drinks and play our favorite music for each other on my laptop. That’s when he finally leant in to kiss me, and everything just became so right.

En dag kommer du krossas.

I know this is very reminiscent of this set of photos, which is still some of my most re-blogged work to date. But I think this could be a really amazing photo idea, if I could get hold of some real looking fake tatoos or stickers. What do you guys think? I'm kinda ambivalent.

Hos Sylvia.

In just a couple of short days, we're moving to our new apartment. I'm soo excited! Now, all I can think about is wallpaper and furniture, I'm going through home decorating magazines like the worst DIY-junkie. And one of the most inspiring and pretty homes I know belongs to my darling Sylvia, so I took some inspirational photos last time I was visting her. Look here:

Isn't it all just so dreamy?

Ta din kappa och din väska, bli inte sen.

Today I'm channeling my collegiate self. School will be starting soon and I can wait! I long for silent libraries, duffel coats, tall stacks of books and the warm glow from those little lamps that sits on top of the desks in the auditorium at Stockholm University. *nerd* To satisfy my need I listen to this old, precious favorite and remember a cold and beautiful fall from two years ago, when I first fell in love with Kristofer.

Nymphette.

So this is the result from the photoshoot this past Friday. I really love 'em, which is rare for me, I hardly ever love my own work. What do you guys think? The model is my darling Sylvia.
