Solen kysser liv i skog och sjö.

A friend of mine, Tiger, recently sent me these photos on Facebook. She told me they made her think of me and that surely qualify as one of the nicest things anyone's ever said to me. Anyway, right now I'm on my way to have a Walpurgis BBQ in the park, so I thought these photos were perfect for this post. I hope you all have a nice evening darlings! Oh, and click the photos to get the source.

Jessica Stam was always one of my favorite models. She's so goddamn beautiful! Plus, I love that she's a redhead in these photos. :)

Excuse the silly photo, but my brain is all fried today so I just opted for some kind of sailor-slut-theme. Anyways, I'm writing my graduate paper right now (thus the fried brain obviously). It's supposed to be turned in next week so all I do is write write write. My head is swimming with gender theories and facts about 18th century European masquerade traditions. Oh my. Now I'm gonna take a break though, time to make study-comfort-cheeseburgers!

Låt oss blir dom som försvann.

Photography by Patrick Demarchelier for Vogue Italia 2006.

Seriously, this editorial is, like, perfection. Don't you think? One of my all-time Demarchelier favorites. I'm not crazy about the first photo, but no 2, 4 and the last one from the top are just so incredibly well composed it hurts. *nerd*
Plus the girls are stunningly beautiful of course.

Lola.

Good things right now:

+ spending the day studying in the sun-drenched patio with coffee and some really interesting books.
+ being able to wear my spring jacket without freezing and my Lolita sunglasses to match.
+ finishing one job just to get offered another one straight away.
+ my readers. Really, you make me feel like I'm good at what I do even when I really doubt myself, and you're all so smart too. Thank you being here with me.
+ getting my first roll of film that I shot with the Diana Mini exposed (and which I can't wait to show you guys, but the scanner is acting all weird so I'm gonny have to fix it first, boo).
+ going out to eat with Kristofer. The thing is, we never run out of things to talk about so even though we live together out dates are always so exciting and fun.
+ 7 weeks left, then I'll be back in NY!

Ge mig en kyss att bygga en dröm på.

Yesterday I took a day off, from everything; work, school and bloging. I've had an extremely hard, busy and emotinal week and I'm just so happy it's Saturday. I don't have to think about anything but good food, long walks in the sun and being with the people I love. Such a lovely feeling!

So yesterday I bought this skirt, and the shoes too, and I'm inlove with both. So now I'm taking my new shoes out for a stroll. Bye now darlings!

Kom an då.

Continuing on the fairytale theme, I found this old, old photo I took back in 2004. It's one of my first digital photos ever, and the story was, of course, Little Red Ridinghood but with a twist. I was totally hung up on this type of thing back then, I also did a version where Snow White ate the hunter's heart. Not very original, but I think my tendency to love all editorials based on stories/books/fairytales stem from this little obsession of mine.

Med ett hjärta stort som Kansas.

Photography by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue US 2005.

This is a classic that you've probably all seen before. I think it's so great though, probably because I adored the Oz books as a child.
